Mr & Mrs Vintage Gift Guide – under £35

Today I bring you a vintage gift guide! Can you believe we are only 2 weeks away from Christmas Day? I’m completely ready for the festivities to start, with just a little bit of wrapping left to do! Which means I can just sit back & eat my weight in mince pies! Hallelujah!

Luckily there is still time for more shopping if you’re still on the look out for gifts & plenty of time to get yourself thrifting in search of a one-of-a-kind Vintage piece for a loved one.

Why shop Vintage this Christmas?

Firstly, why the heck not? Secondly, in my opinion, buying vintage or even second hand store thrifting is a great way to reduce on waste this time of year, I really feel it bridges the gap on consumerism & our throw-away culture & the idea that everything is disposable, why spend your hard earned cash on huge cooperations, you can spend your money on items that tell a story, are pre-loved & that you know you’ll get some real joy out of, I truly believe in quality over quantity! plus you can pretty much guarantee that you won’t spot anyone else wearing or using the item as generally speaking there’s only one of any one item on the rails & whats more vintage shopping needn’t be expensive either.

If  I’ve sold you on the vintage life already, hooray! welcome to the club! so, you fancy yourself a little thrifter in the making? My vintage gift guide is just the thing for you!

My good friends at Absolute Vintage (stores based in London) asked me & my husband if we’d like to come up with a Christmas gift guide, (to which we both jumped at the chance!) so that we could share some ideas with you lovely people when it comes to vintage shopping for your partner this festive season.

So, Mr S & I hopped on to their website & picked out a selection of items, four each that we both really loved the look of & then I edited them into a handy little guide for you. We decided to keep each item at £35 or under, just because we personally feel that it’s a good price point to stick to if you are dealing with budget constraints, however, when you browse the website you’ll see there are plenty of options to suit everyone’s pockets.

I have linked all the items that we have chosen below, & if you see anything you fancy, be quick as being true vintage there is only one of each piece!

Lastly, I’d like to mention that you can even thrift from your sofa! (yes I know, genius right?!) Absolute Vintage have an extensive range which gets switched up regularly, both online & in store so if you can’t get to one of their boutiques then online is the place to be & delivery is super speedy if you’re thinking about last minute gifts!

Ps, if you would like to chat all things thrifty, get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
