I’ve never been one to take tablets for anything if I’m feeling sick, headaches I usually sleep off, nausea I munch on a ginger biscuit & anything else I usually just breath through until I’ve fought it off. I started this year with a new leaf, to avoid putting unnecessary chemicals in to my body & strive to try to more natural, holistic methods, which of course included finding the perfect remedy for those winter colds.
Last week flu season well & truly hit our household, hard. Mr S caught the sickness bug & then I got taken down by the mother of all colds, desperate for a remedy to kick it in the backside I did lots of research on the best ginger & lemon recipes & soon found a simple DIY that worked for me, hooray!
I’ve decided to share this quick recipe with you today, I know you’ve probably read a million of these already, but just incase you haven’t, here it is.
Here’s to fighting off those pesky bugs the natural, wholesome way.

If you’re using your kettle, simple boil the water as normal.
Once your water is boiled transfer to a small saucepan (if using your kettle) or take it off the heat.
Finely slice your ginger & lemon & place in the saucepan.
